I’ve gathered some tips and tricks to transform your small bathroom into a spa-like sanctuary where you’ll feel relaxed and recharged. Of course, a small space doesn’t have to be cluttered, so keep reading for a few space-saving tips!

 

With a few tips and minor changes, you can give your small bathroom or powder room a luxurious feel.

 

The good news is that the tips below are relatively inexpensive and easy to implement! However, if you have a more extensive price range, there are additional projects you can do to achieve a spa-like bathroom.

 

Take Advantage of Mirrors

Simple but so effective! You can add a unique design depending on the style of mirrors that you choose. If you don’t have large windows in your bathroom, you can use mirrors to give the illusion of space and make your bathroom feel bigger. Take advantage of any natural light that you have by using mirrors to reflect the natural light in your bathroom.

 

 

Glass Apothecary Jars

Glass jars are a cute and practical way to store cotton balls, cotton pads, or Q-tips. This trick will instantly create a luxurious feel and an organized bathroom. It will be so nice to have items that you use every day easily accessible!

 

 

Fresh Scent

There’s no need to go extreme here, and many people don’t love super strong scents. But, scent can elicit a positive emotion and make your bathroom smell like a luxurious hotel spa bathroom. You can use small items like candles, diffusers or incense to achieve your desired scent.

Changing out old light fixtures can instantly make your bathroom feel brighter, modern (if that’s your goal) and positively change the overall mood lighting of your bathroom.

If your towel racks are in an awkward spot, try removing them and replacing them with individual towel hooks for bath towels.

 

Finally, add some greenery, wall art, candles, and light decor to your bathroom to give it a more personalized feel!

 

If you don’t have lots of space, try freestanding storage options like a bar cart or woven baskets to organize towels and place small items. It adds functionality and decoration to your bathroom.

An option is to install floating shelves above the toilet or on another wall to display framed photos or cute prints or add a vase with some greenery.

Pocket doors or a sliding door will give you more room to work with if you have a small bathroom. A pocket door is an easy way to add colour or personality without compromising on space.

 

If your bathroom doesn’t have a lot of natural light, you could go for a frosted pocket door that will give you the privacy you desire and allow more light into the bathroom.

Introduce New Paint Colours

You don’t necessarily need to do an all-white bathroom, you can use dark colours strategically for a dramatic and high-end look.

 

The use of natural materials like warm wood is excellent if you have a compact space. Alternatively, keep your paint colours light for a more uniform look. A fresh coat of paint in a neutral color can do wonders to brighten a room and make it feel fresh and luxurious!
